Cold Spring!

This has been a very cold and rainy May, but the yard, grass, and flowers love it.
The grass is soooooo green and our azaleas and other flowers seem to be sitting in the cold box. When its cool like this, the blooms stay. If it gets hot, everything goes by really quickly. But its the cold and NE wind that keeps this so nice. Its not great for being outdoors a lot, but neither is the cold SW wind off the ocean, so we deal.
It is nice really nice for biking and walking though, and we will just put off the canoe and beach stuff for another week or so.
We havent been to Spohr Gardens this year! I feel bad about missing it, but weve got some pretty good flowers here. So I just look at our old albums of them.
Nice spring, though cool.

Muffin framed

Here is a picture of Muffin with a frame I made for her.
She is going to an alumni party at the Falmouth Friends of Dogs, (our local pound) for a celebration of the new building and land. Almost 100% of our dogs have been placed in new homes, by the Falmouth agency. Home visits are ongoing and are proving with careful placing that very few dogs are given up. Training is given to dogs who have behaviour problems, and this seems to solve most.
Muffin is one of the oldest alumni.
We adopted her on the 19th of October 1992, and the estimates of her birth date is around the latter part of October 1991. She had a litter of puppies before we got her.
Sad story at the beginning, with a fantastic ending, 13 years and running with a wonderful dog!
Will link to her site, soon as I can figure out how to make active(clickable) links on this blog.

We went to Anguilla for 3 weeks in March.

Here are several pictures that we took on our trip to Anguilla.
The island is beautiful. We hadnt been back for 9 years and theres been a lot of building. But its still relatively unspoiled. We stay at Millie's Inn in Shoal Bay East. She has a 4 unit apartment house, lovely kitchen, lots of room, incredible view, and a short walk down the hill to the beach.
Heavenly. Millie is 82 years old and she is really wonderful. Loves to tell us about the history of the Island. I will add to this here.......
will take a while for our pictures to upload, so look here tomorrow

Bryce and Terragen?

Bryce is an amazing program, but alas its a bit beyond me. Took a class last year, but it was too advanced. Managed to do some neat images of sea and mountains though.
Bryce 5.5 is here, and I got it for Mothers day present. I will be taking a beginners class this fall.
Let me know if you are interested in this type of class, Photoshop and all sorts of other programs are in their curriculum too.
Just gotta have TIME.

So anyway, I must get to the point,,,,,,,,here are 2 sunset images that I made with Terragen, and that is a wonderful program too. Its a bit easier to learn than Bryce. So next week(May 10 2005) I will be starting a beginner class in it. Its so much fun! Its had a big upgrade, I got it before we went to Anguilla.
Hope these 2 pictures upload OK.
And they did. With Terragen, you have to play with the color and contrast for each image with Photoshop to get the best and prettiest picture.

The picture is off the dock at WHOI looking north towards the NOAA Fisheries building.
I should post the original too, Ill upload that later.
